Carola Gunnarsson is a councillor of Sala (Sweden), and the First Vice President of the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR). Ms. Gunnarsson is also Vice President of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and Special envoy for freedom, solidarity and fighting violence against local political leaders.
